I didn't miss the computer at all during vacation. I did have little thoughts run across my mind that I wanted to share, though.
Here's one:
I re-read the book Pure Style Living by Jane Cumberbatch. Pure Style Living is a large, coffee table type book that I checked out from the library a few years ago. It has turned into one of my favorite books for inspiration on home furnishings and lifestyle.
Jane Cumberbatch is a beautiful writer. Usually in home decor books and magazines, I peruse the pictures first, and then read only what interests me. Jane makes me want to read the text, because the text is even more inspiring than the photographs, if that is possible.
I highly recommend this book if you are interested in things natural, clean, real, and sensual (utilizing all 5 senses).
Here's another:
I love swimming pools. Clean ones. There is something about being in the water that relaxes me. Even vigorously aqua-jogging (as my lil sis and I got up in the morning to do in the 67 degree fresh spring-fed pool water) is somehow invigorating and soothing at the same time. Doing laps, or just floating around, I love it all. At my dream house I would definitely have a swimming pool in my backyard with someone to take care of it for me. But it would be warmer than 67 degrees.
And another thought from one evening at supper on the hill (served outside at the open air lodge, overlooking the golf-course):
We had one too many pieces of blueberry pie.
(The food was delicous , though. It was made from scratch, just my style.)
Ok, I think that is the last of my ramblings from our trip. Talking about vacation seems to make it last longer, right???
