Freezing Tomatoes

I recently received a boatload of tomatoes from my in-laws' garden. Yum! Except we can't eat them all right now. And I've never canned and don't have the motivation to learn right now. So I'm going to freeze them! Did you know you could do that? I didn't, until my sister-in-law told me she was doing this. I'm too lazy to peel and chop them right now, so I am going to freeze them whole! (I've also heard you can do this with peaches, though have never tried.)

Here are the instructions for freezing tomatoes that I am going to use. We'll see how it goes!

I never knew you could freeze tomatoes. Canning is really easy but it is time consuming. When you are ready to learn by all means ask me and I would love to walk you through it. But for now that is a neat alternative. Thanks

So I may have to do this myself. We tried your recipe for Zucchini and Tomatoes last night and it was amazing. I see how you could just eat a pan for a meal! We grilled steaks and corn but I think it was main dish : )

I just started doing this myself. I have been cutting them up (dicing them) and freezing them in ziploc bags to use later in soups and sauces. I can't wait!

I'm so excited to learn about this! I have about 6 fresh tomatoes that I'm eating as fast as I can...but I'm the only tomato eater in the house so it's been tough. I'm totally going to do this. Thanks for the tip!!!
