
Did you know that you can freeze green beans without blanching them? According to this source, you can! Wash and trim like normal. Then, they can be frozen for up to 6 months at 0 degrees. I love making things easier by omitting the blanching step!
If you want to store them frozen for longer, like 10-12 months, then blanching is supposedly a better option. They'd never last that long at our house, though.
Note: The article says that the less contact the beans have with water, the better.
