Dessert:
Creamy Fruit Salad - here is the recipe....
1 8 oz tub whipped topping
2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
1 regular can crushed pineaple, w/ juice
2 small cans mandarin oranges, drained
Mix powdered pudding with the pineapple and juice in a bowl. Add whipped topping. Stir until well blended. Fold in oranges. Chill.
This was a favorite of a little girl I used to babysit for. She called it "Delicious Salad". I got the recipe from her mom. This weekend, I doubled it and took it to a baby shower at someone's request. I don't usually make it for us, but is is an easy side item to take somewhere. It is sooo sweet (and not so good for you) so we will be eating the leftovers for dessert this week.
*Here is my inspiration for the nachos, but not the exact recipe I'll follow... I plan to use tortilla chips, ground turkey with the taco seasoning, Monterey Jack cheese, salsa, and then top with sour cream.
