When people ask me about shopping at Aldi, I sometimes have a hard time saying off the top of my head what is worth getting from there. So I decided to make a list since I love lists. Keep in mind, this is all just my opinion.
Better at Aldi (I prefer to get these things there):
Chocolate chips
Brownie mix
Skim milk (I don’t know if it is r-bgh free.)
Chocolate ice cream
Frozen thin crust pepperoni pizza

Kind of funny there are 3 chocolate things on that list! :)
Just as good at Aldi (I notice no difference):
Baking supplies (flour, sugar, oil, cake, pudding, marshmallows, etc.)
Condiments
Eggs
Sour cream
Butter
Cheese
Rice
Canned vegetables
Canned soups
Mandarin oranges
Canned pineapple
Cherry pie filling
Bread
Frozen chicken breasts (3 lb. bag)
Frozen real grape juice
Large can tomato juice
Frozen fruit
Whipped topping
Allergy medicine
Immunity booster (like Airborne)
Things that might not be quite as good, but are still worth getting there (because of the price):
Chips
Salsa
Cereal
Produce
Frozen vegetables
There are also other things that I occasionally get at Aldi, these are just the highlights – the things that really work for me!
The only thing I have really NOT liked that I have tried from Aldi was the boxed mac’n’cheese. But I don’t buy much of that anywhere anyways anymore. Oh, and also the chocolate syrup. Stick with the Hershey’s.
What is your experience with Aldi products? What else have you tried from their store? What works for you?

Just started shopping there again. I was scared to try the chocolate chips so thanks for the list. (-:
I love Aldi!
Their products have definitely improved over the years!
:)
I just started shopping at Aldi. This is good information to know! I haven't tried their chocolate chips, so I'm going to try those for sure.
There are very few things we don't like: Don't care for the fruit snacks, Didn't care for the american cheese, only because it's not individually wrapped,
We really like the whips yogurt, other milk products are fine, like the canned stuff. Love the frozen meatballs and even liked the laundry dryer sheets. We also get most of DH food for lunch there in the frozen section. Went Friday and they had the frozen chicken nuggets shaped like dino's love those!!!!
We really like their Fit and Active light ranch dressing. I think their produce is better quality than Walmart, but you might not get quite as much variety. Their canned cream soups are as good as Campbell's, in my opinion.
My list is similar to yours. In addition, the kids love the chicken nuggets and the french toast sticks. The children's vitamins are good too. I love Aldi's. Its a life saver to a single mother on a very limited income.
My list is very similar to yours...the one thing I cannot bring myself to buy --- their tuna fish. Ick!
I love Aldi chocolate chips!!! We often have 2-3 bags in our cupboard. I haven't tried the brownie mix for some reason... I am a Betty Crocker fan and haven't taken the chance yet.
My kids love their fish sticks. and I use a lot of their canned goods!!
I recently got their Fit & Active Poppy Seed salad dressing and it is wonderful. I could eat it on stuff every day. I'm also a fan of their fresh produce--usually good quality and great prices! Also find no difference in there tomato sauce/paste verses any other brand I've tried. Good post. Thanks for sharing your list.
I am a huge fan of Aldi and their prices :)
Items I endorse fully are:
Brownie Mix, it's so much better!
Olive Oil, $$$ saver & Good
Seasonings
Tortillas
Canned goods
I really will buy almost everything there rather than the "normal" grocery store now, minus the milk, bread, and some meats.
I have a bag of their chocolate chips in the pantry, maybe today will be a good day to put them to use for the first time! Thanks for the post!
Your list is very similar to mine.
Their paper napkins, and paper towels are good. The TP and kleenex are like sandpaper! And the freezer baggies are thin! The plastic wrap is good, but I rather stick with Reynolds brand Foil.
Their turkey bacon is pretty decent. And I love their frozen lemonade. The honey is no different than other stores. :) Their ketchup is runny..rather have Hunts or Heinz.
