New Header

I am slowly taking steps to make the homepage page look more interesting. I really don't want it to look "busy" though - I'd rather it look too plain. What do you think of the new picture as the header? I wasn't sure what would go along well with the general theme of the blog, but I kind of like this one. Let me know any suggestions you have.
