This past weekend, my husband's parents came up and brought us a dresser/chest of drawers that they helped me refinish for our daughter's "big girl" room. Or I should say I helped them, because they were the ones who knew what they were doing. We scraped, sanded, primed, and painted the dresser, a headboard, and some wall shelves. Now they are all just sitting in the garage waiting for some final touches. I will post pictures of the final products in a week or so. I can't wait to see it with the new hardware and all. It is pretty quaint and girly, which is not usually my style, but with a few other modern and eclectic touches in her room, I think I will really like it. I can't wait to see it all together! Ok, now that that's nearly checked off the list (#2), we have to get a mattress for her and then the furniture quest will be over!
(Also, I found a $5 clearance pillow that is just waiting to be decorated!)
