Favorite Apple Crisp

I made this twice last week using some flavorful frozen apples from last fall. It is super easy and we love it. Makes 4 servings (or 6 small servings).

4 cups peeled and sliced apples
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon

Place apples in ungreased 8x8 baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients and crumble over top of apples. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.

Sounds wonderful!! Can't wait to try it. Do I need to buy any particular kind of apples that will be better? THANKS.lz7780@cox.net

We LOVE apple crisp! How do you prepare your apples for freezing?

Hmm, I don't remember what kind of apples they were that I bought last fall - I do remember they had red skin. Sorry! I use my peeler, corer, slicer and then put them in ziplocs with a little lemon juice.

I made this for my Bible study the other night (doubled it, of course) and everyone was RAVING. Someone suggested adding oats to the topping, so I might try that next time, but WOW this was so good!
