Menu Plan 4/6/09

This pregnancy, as I mentioned before, I have not wanted to eat oatmeal or granola. I want boxed cereal with cold milk. Throughout the day. Over the past few months, I've been through corn flakes, rice krispies, cheerio's, frosted mini-wheats, and now am on to Costco's organic raisin bran. It is the second cheapest cereal there (per ounce) and I don't feel as bad eating 3 bowls a day when it is organic :)

Breakfasts:
Oatmeal or Organic Raisin Bran with Milk
Bananas

Lunches:
PB&J Sandwiches
Carrots Sticks
Cottage Cheese
Pears

Dinners:
Monday - Southwest Salad
Tuesday - Baked Talapia, Scalloped Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli
Wednesday - Meatball Sandwiches, Corn
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Pancakes, Fruit
Saturday - Leftovers
Sunday - Easter dinner at the neighbors, taking something...

Dessert:

I had a hard time with the menu this week because I was feeling uninspired, but now that I've done it, it looks pretty good to me. Visit more menu plans here!

What's with cereal and pregnancy. I ate tons of it through my pregnancy with Seth too. I love Kix too if you want another one to try. Seth also loves them now and actually had them for breakfast this morning. I find Kashi Crunch is the only cereal filling enough to only have one bowl. I usually eat two bowls of anything else myself, pregnant or not.

When I was pregnant w/my son, now 16, I craved pop corn and peanut butter milk shakes. I don't remember what I craved with my daughter but I do recall that it was after her birth that I began to have trouble with corn, pop corn and orange juice.

I'm a big fan of Speical K w/red berries or chocolate pieces. Honey nut Cheerios are also great.

well at least they are cheap cravings and nothing too hard to get :) I really only had a milk craving for my first and nothing with my second.

the southwest salad looks good I will have to make that just find a replacement for the ranch, hmm..
